Assessing the impact of the closing of paint and lacquer surfaces on the durability of concrete products
Zubkova, Ekaterina ; Eger, Lukáš (referee) ; Hubáček, Adam (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on studying the influence of different types of surface treatments on vibropressed product. The main goal is to characterize surface treatments consisting of application of surface coatings that are hardened by infrared or ultraviolet radiation. Theoretical part gives specifications already known methods for surface finishing. Briefly describes selected types of prefabricated concrete parts and specificate the requirements for these products. It also describes used test methods. The experimental part was aimed at establishing the effectiveness of changing properties concrete products by adding coatings on their surface. This was achieved by testing the properties of concrete paving blocks with modified surfaces and testing of reference blocks that did not have any surface treatment followed by mutual comparison of the results.
Comparative study of using high power and low power lasertherapy for tinnitus.
Farská, Tereza ; Malá, Jitka (advisor) ; Vláčilová, Ivana (referee)
Title: Comparative study of high-power and low-power laser therapy in the treatment of tinnitus Objectives: To determine the efficacy of high-power and low-power laser therapy in reducing the loudness of chronic tinnitus and improving the quality of life in patients suffering from chronic tinnitus. Additionally, to compare the effects of both types of lasers. Methods: A total of 18 subjects were included in the experiment, who underwent an otorhinolaryngological, neurological, and kinesiological examination by a physiotherapist. The TSCHQ questionnaire was used to collect data, including the scaling of tinnitus loudness. Quality of life was assessed using the THI questionnaire. To determine the effect, data obtained from the questionnaires before and after intervention were compared. Descriptive statistics and non-parametric tests were used for statistical analysis. The homogeneity of groups was compared using the Mann-Whitney test, the Wilcoxon test was used to compare the effect of the laser within one group. The Chi-square test was used to evaluate qualitative data. The level of significance was set at 5 % (α = 0.05). Results: It was found that HILT had a statistically significant positive effect on reducing the intensity of chronic tinnitus, while LLLT did not. Therefore, high-power laser is...
HILT and TRT impact comparison in the treatment of cervicobrachial syndrome
Čemusová, Kateřina ; Pánek, David (advisor) ; Vomáčková, Helena (referee)
Title: Comparison of the effect of HILT and TRT in the treatment of cervicobrachial syndrome. Descriptive experimental work. Objectives: The main goal of the theoretical part of the thesis is to describe the issue of muscle tone and its changes in the context of HILT and TRT. Describe the diagnosis of cervicobrachial syndrome, the functional significance of high-power laser and targeted radiofrequency therapy to affect cervicobrachial syndrome and muscle hypertonicity of the trapezius pars descendens, levator scapulae and mm.scaleni. The aim of the experimental part is to confirm hypotheses about the effectiveness of the effect of physical therapy (high-power laser and radiofrequency therapy) on muscle hypertonus at the level of statistical significance of 5%. Methods: A total of 60 probands from among patients of an unnamed NZZ with a diagnosis of CB syndrome (MKN M531) participated in the research part, who were randomly divided into 3 groups. The first group was treated with a high-power laser 3 times a week for a total of 6 times. The second group was treated with targeted radiofrequency therapy at the same rate and frequency, and the third group of 20 probands was a control, treated with manual physiotherapy techniques, also at the same rate and frequency. Before each therapy, a palpation...
Possibilities of affecting pain by using physical therapy in patients with plantar fasciitis. Subtitle: Application of ultrasound and high-intensity laser
Čefelínová, Veronika ; Plecháčová, Marie (advisor) ; Klesnilová, Eliška (referee)
BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Veronika Čefelínová Supervisor: Ing. Marie Plecháčová Title: Possibilities of affecting pain by using physical therapy in patients with plantar fasciitis Subtitle: Application of ultrasound and high intensity laser Abstrakt bakalářské práce: This bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of affecting pain by using therapeutic ultrasound and high intensity laser in patients with plantar fasciitis. The thesis has a practical and a theoretical section. The theoretical section is devoted to pain, which I try to affect via physical therapy, the disease of plantar fasciitis, the principle of therapeutic ultrasound and high power laser and their positive and negative effects, indications, contraindications and their use in the treatment of plantar fasciitis are described. The practical section involved 8 patients with plantar fasciitis in the acute stage. Pressure algometry and functional tests were used for objective evaluation. For subjective evaluation, a short form of Brief Pain Inventory was used, which focuses on pain experienced in the last 24 hours. The results of each method are presented in the form of tables and graphs. The results show an improvement in all the monitored parameters in both groups. There was an increase in pain threshold and a decrease in pain...
Use of lasers in physiotherapy. Subtitle: Focused on laser acupuncture on musculoligament complex disorders
Šimková, Jana ; Jeníček, Jakub (advisor) ; Novotná, Marie (referee)
Name: Jana Šimková Supervizor: Mgr. Jakub Jeníček Oponent: Title of bachelor thesis: Use of Lasers in Physiotherapy Subtitle: Focused on Laser Acupuncture on Musculoligament Complex Disorders Abstract: This bachelor thesis is about the use of lasers in physiotherapy, focused on laser acupuncture on musculoligament complex disorders. The aim of this work was to find and process information from available sources of Czech and foreign literature in the form of systematic research. The thesis is divided into four main chapters. The first chapter is devoted to essential information about lasers, mechanism of laser-tissue interactions, suitable indications, and contraindications. The second chapter focuses on acupuncture, a brief description of the basic principles and techniques of execution. The third chapter introduces the readers to the use of low-level laser within the relatively young laser acupuncture method, clarifies its therapeutic effectiveness and usability in the field of rehabilitation care. The fourth chapter is a systematic review of clinical trials and studies that assess the effectiveness of both laser therapy in general and the acupuncture point irradiation using laser acupuncture. The discussion of the work summarizes the results of selected studies where laser therapy proved to be the most...
The use of high intensity laser in physiotherapy
Kremlíková, Lucie ; Kymplová, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Jeníček, Jakub (referee)
Title: The Use of High Intensity Laser in Physiotherapy Abstract: This bachelor thesis is concerned to the use of a high performance laser in the physiotherapy, especially at patiens with painful or functional disorders of shoulder joint. The thesis is dividend into the oretical and practical part. The aim of this work is to raise the awareness of the use of a high performance laser in the physiotherapy and by there a search compare the results of the therapy with laser and without at selected patients. The theoretical part is devoted to laser problematic. This part provils informations about basic laser principals and effects, indication and contraindication, but also presents different types of lasers and their use. The second part deals with shoulder joint, its anatomy, kinesiology and phatology. The practical part is based on research of the effects of high performance laser therapy at patiens with painful or functional disorders of the shoulder. The effect of therapy is judged in terms of pain and active range of movements. Patients are divided in two groups (target and control group). The results of research provide the informations on the positive effect of the therapy by using a high performance laser at monitored patients. The discussion of the work focuses on the evaluation of the effect of the...
